Dear IEEE JETCAS Readers,

The IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Circuits and Systems (JETCAS) proudly published its 2020 June issue to present a comprehensive perspective on the recent advances in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for 5G and Beyond 5G (B5G). This issue begins with an overview paper by the guest editors that surveys the application of AI to 5G/B5G technologies, with a focus on the implementations, algorithms, and optimizations. It is complemented by a total of 8 high-quality, novel contributions, touching upon (1) learning for baseband processing, (2) hardware implementations for wireless learning, and (3) wireless sensing, localization, and environmental intelligence. We hope you enjoy the contents of this special issue.
